No sound/ No video (MDVD6628/6658/DVP8861):  Try to connect the player to a TV set directly (at least for testing), use the included RCA (red/white/yellow) cable.

Connection on the back of the player:

                                                                    red              yellow

The Red/White cables are for left/right 2 audio channels, Yellow is for video. 

The optical audio output and 5.1 audio outputs are for playing DVD movie, they do not work for karaoke function.

Try to connect to another TV set if you still could not get audio/video.


No/low microphone sound (MDVD6658):  Check the setting of the player. Press SETUP button of your remote control. Go to Karaoke option. Make sure the ON option is checked, not just highlighted.

You could also set the microphone volume/echo higher there.


TV screen is rolling (MDVD 6658): It is due to the wrong setup of video format of the player. Press SETUP button of your remote, press DOWN button once. Press ENTER button once, press DOWN button once. Then press ENTER button once. Press SETUP button to exit.


No audio for HDMI connection (MDVD 6658): Press SETUP button of your remote. Go to AUDIO option. Make sure that the ON of  HDMI Connection option is checked, not just highlighted.


How to mute the vocal (DVP 8861): Press LEARN button of your remote several times. Do it slowly.


No audio (MDVD6628): Pull the power plug out of wall. Wait for several minutes. Then try again.


Could not turn on the receiver (BW600 microphone): Press the power button of the receiver, and hold it for a second or two to turn it on.


The indicate light of BW228 could not be turned on: Check the battery direction. Make sure the positive side is on the top.


Microphone noise: Make sure the microphone cable is plugged all the way in.
